Jesus is Coming Soon

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.  Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Good versus Grace

Good versus Grace
The view that entrance into heaven is on the basis of merit (our works) rather than God's grace is also common. But a works based system of salvation is foreign to the message of Christ. Whether or not one enters heaven is not dependent on a continuum of good and evil, wherein we hope our good acts outweigh our bad ones. While this perspective may be common, it is biblically incorrect. As Ephesians 2:8-9 reads, "For by grace are ye saved, through faith — and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God — not of works, lest any man should boast". Grace is God's unmerited favor, demonstrated most fully in the sacrifice of Christ.
(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Those who argue that all good people go to heaven often suggest that if hell exists, it is reserved for a minority of particularly evil people. But since most people are not so evil, they argue, it makes sense to claim that all good people will get to heaven regardless of any minor lapses in moral behavior. Does this reasoning hold up? It does so only if it fails to take into account the nature of God, the nature of sin, and what the Bible has to say on the subject. As we've noted, God is holy, but He is also just. God's justice requires the reality of hell for the unredeemed. The nature of sin extends, biblically speaking, to everyone. Salvation is not by works, but by God's grace through Christ.

Salvation

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The Armor of God

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Going To Church

I enjoyed going to church this morning. He talked about trials having four sides. Your side, other person side, satan, and God. When you go through trials it is God shaping you into who he wants to be. The question is not why but how. How are you going through your trials?

You know When you are reading your bible God is talking to you and when you pray it is you talking to God.

Holy Scriptures

And Jesus answered and spake  unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom  of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, and another to his merchandise:

And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them,

Jesus is Coming Soon

I know that I will talk about salvation a lot.

Romans10:9   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead.
10. For with the heart man beleiveth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made into salvation.
Paul is one of my favorite disciple. he tells what he has gone through more like the troubles that I had . More like me  and the struggles That I have.

I am trying to be a good Christian and to grow.

I just want to say that it says in the bible that you are to stay in the marriage. but God does expect you to stay in an abusive relation. you are to separate but not divorce. Try to reconnect with your husband if at all possible.

Down Syndrome Child

I have a daughter that has Down Syndrome. She is eighteen now and graduated from high school. Having a down syndrome child can be challenging but very rewarding. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if she had been born normal. I realize that I would not change a thing. She would not be who she is if she was born different, She is very loving and hard headed at times.

Salvation Are You or Not ... Saved?

Salvation I know is a topic not many want to talk about but it is something to think about.

First of all I want to talk about my own salvation my thought and beliefs.
I grew up going to church and I believed in Jesus and God and so I thought I was saved.
My parents divorced when I was real young and I was a real wild child and had some terrible things happen to me and in order to survive I built a wall around my heart and put it all deep in my mind so I wouldn't think about them.

I grew up in a time when it was hellfire and brimstone preaching with a lot of yelling but they did not tell you how to get saved.

It started in March almost two years ago when my mother passed away and I was listening to the preacher speak and I felt this desire that I should start going to church.

Any way I didn't do anything about it but I just felt there was something missing inside, like a hole that my family although I loved them couldn't fill.

Sept 4 2013 is the day that I got saved.

My husband and I had gone to the funeral of our son in laws dad.
The pastor at the gravesite said that if you did not know where or when you was saved or felt a change in your way of thinking that you was not saved.

He made me realize I was not saved.

My husband and I got in the truck to head to the church where they was serving food at. Anyway we knew our son in laws dad but was not real close to him.

I started crying and I felt this big knot in my chest and I couldn't figure out what was going on.
It was like the Lord had opened up all my wounds and cauterized them. I couldn't take the pain anymore and I just asked for help That I give up and couldn't run anymore.

By the time we got to the church I was healed and such peace in my soul. I knew the Lord had come in and filled that missing hole in my soul.

Since then we have been going to church. I got baptized.

I know the Lord loves me even if no one else did and I'm ok with that.

Everyone's salvation is different but you have ask for him to forgive you and let him in.

Is he knocking on your door? Just let him in.

The Bachelor Juan Pablo

I have been watching this show this whole season and It has been Interesting. Tonight Sharleen left which I think was the best. She is beautiful but I didn't feel she was the right one. I do not like Clare.
I don't know who will be chosen and I'm not sure who I want to win.

Any opinions?

The X Factor

Rachel Crow I have been watching The X Factor from the beginning and I thought that this young girl had a voice that was indescribable. I was happy that she had made it through all these weeks. Until last week. I can't believe that she was eliminated. This girl is amazing. I like Marcus Canty but he has been at the bottom several times and I was so sure Rachel was going to make it. America let that girl down. I did vote for her. I can say at least I put my voice in..
Well I just had to voice my opinion about it all. I don't think we've heard the last of Rachel Crow though.
